| HAPPY NEWS YEAR! First thing I did this morning was turn on my computer to start downloading countdown, eheh. Going very slow but I'm pretty sure I read a lot of what I wanted to see in reports of what wasn't broadcast :D;; ★ Before that, LAWSON has new promotional ads up in their stores! The prizes you can win are the same as before, but the new images are gorgeous- NEWS in hakama! You can see some pictures here and here. This photo was also the NEWS mixi comm. ★ Also, yamanade2010! Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge drama community. ★ WHY MUST THEY CUT EVERYTHING GOOD OUT OF THE TV BROADCAST OF COUNTDOWN! Akaku and Snow Express preformed as well as an epic version of ABO. Cute Kamepi MC (didn't actually post this here thou), KeiUchi throwing sign boards together and 6 NEWS (-Ryo/+Uchi). Reports from random blogs and mixi diaries. ( Bits of countdown reports about what wasn't on TV ) | |

| Anyone care to create/give/make me one? :D
If you would like some baseline points (?) or something like that to serve as your basis for doing my banner, I would be glad to have a discussion of it under the comments section of this post.
Please do me one. ^^ | |

| First Day of 2010. It's amazing that it has been a decade already since 2000. I feel so old. *_* I still remember high school back in 2000 (and we just had our reunion about a week ago -- well sort of a reunion/get-together) and now it's been a decade ago already. Time really pass fast! Anyways, since its 2010 already, I can already use my nifty planner! Ahaha I didn't had a planner last year (dunno why) and I hope that this planner of mine will give my year a better direction -- which is to saving money. LOL I've listed some of my goals/rules (short/long-term) this 2010, though this is still partial and might have additional ones as time goes by: - Self-study Nihongo at least 10 hours every week. Hopefully, I can pursue this. But, well, while on a 1.5 hour travel to work I can hook up some earphones to listen to some Japanese audio book ne? That counts too!
- Do at least one of the following every week: (1) Design a room or home -- need to go back on my Architecture interest roots, (2) Write a short note or story in full Nihongo -- I wonder if I can do this? (3) Study YUI 101 -- I need to since I am planning something this 2010 for my YUI fandom. (4) Review Stat Subjects -- my statistics skills is getting really really rusty and the only way to sharpen it again is to review it!
- Save! Save! Save! -- this is my primary resolution/goal as well!
- Reduce or avoid being late in the office -- during the last half of 2009, I think I have been late too much. Good thing that our company doesn't issue memos on consecutive late-comers. But, I want to change this!
- Finish reading a book at least 1 each month -- I doubt if I can do this. But, lemme try! I have lots of Murakami books left to read. This includes re-reading too since I might re-read Dance Dance Dance. :3
- Try to write an LJ entry everyday -- in the hope of making this more personal and active, I think I should try to write more here.
- Re-arrange room once a month -- I don't want my room to be too stagnant. Dynamic it is! Ahaha! Well, I think last year I did this. :3
- Write instantaneous/impulse things I want to buy and strike off when bought already -- this is a good way (well for me) to remember things I would like to buy. Ehehe There. Hope I will be able to make/do these things. With my planner and my partial goals set, I'm prepared to face the challenges and happy moments of 2010. Hope you are prepared as well too! ♥ PS: I'll start tagging my post as well. I might tag all my previous post too. I think its important to tag ne?

The final for this year
Yesterday, it was the final recording of the program Hyaku shiki Ou, and up till the bonenkai (year-end party), I received many things that I am thankful for Chatting about various things with the staff-san, and also with Jr, yo By the time I returned home, it had turned cold outside.
That is why, last night, I hugged my dog to sleep. | |

Relieved ~
Every year, the FNS is really incredible.
To the left and to the right, all are famous people, which makes my heart throb faster.
There are many who seem to be feeling really relaxed, but basically, it is a venue filled with nerves.
In the midst of all that, when I meet Tokio and Arashi, I will feel relieved ~
Why do I feel relieved ~.
I chatted a lot with them yo | |

| ☆ Daily living ☆
In living everyday, to be living in a temperate country, to be born in Japan, to be born a Japanese, there are many times I feel that way. Me, on of those moments where I feel good to be a Japanese, would be when I am having white rice.
By the way, for me, I have already decided on my last supper prior to the end of the world. White rice cooked in the iron pot with shirasu (young sardine) on top and akadashijiru. I would eat the white rice cooked in the iron pot with the shirasu on top, with some Sudachi squeezed over it, and add in a touch of soya sauce. Intermittently, I would sip some of the akadashi. Just these combination itself, I am able to polish off 3 bowls.
Although we are not about to reach the end of the world, so let's leave such talk aside.
Let's talk about what I had for dinner last night.
I had some sushi, the traditional dish of Japan and also the pride of Japan. Heaps of unrivalled white rice, made into vinegared rice.
As the days turn colder, during these times, there are various types of delicious food around.
Mehikari, Ikura, Mackerel, Katsuo, Kohada, Aji, actually there are just so many of them, all the food that I can eat this season.
The sushi that are individually made by the experts, applying just the right pressure in pressing the rice, they are really delicious. Not just tasty, but delicious.
They would skillfully make the next and the next sushi.
「Hai! Sumiika, ne! Well, it's not possible to put the sumiika on the top, so it will be right inside (laughs) It will not be added with anything else, just as it is, ne」, said the shopowner playfully, as I took it from the board in front of me.
Next, the lady boss served me the akadashi, and I decided not to lose out to the shopowner. She said, 「Hai! Akadashi, ne.」 To which I replied, 「Me, I am a Bakamarudashi. (laughs)」.
Feeling so at home?, the time just flew and soon the shop was filled with customers.
The other people who were also seated at the counter, they started standing up, and that was then the lady boss said this really stylish phrase.
With that one phrase, I was trembling with laughter.
By the way, how do you all ask for the bill?
(1) お勘定お願いします Can we settle the account please?
(2) おあいそお願いします Check please.
(3) お会計お願いします Bill please.
Me, I ususally use (3), Bill please.
Those of you who use (1), you can only be forgiven if you use it a certain way.
Settling the account, all along, that is used by the shop's staff/owner to the people who stand up to go, it is not to be used by customers at all.
お愛想 is actually in short for 愛想笑いや愛想尽かし, i.e. the shop people are saying, 「please forgive us if our service had not been warm enough」, and they normally say this when the customers are settling the bill.
That is why, many a times, I watch people use 「おあいそッ!」, and even though it is incorrect, I do not say a word, but only to my acquaintances, do I correct them.
Anyway, let's return to what the lady boss had said that made me trembled with laughter.
She usually uses the word 「おあいそ」 whenever the customers stand up.
Yesterday, when the customer stood up, she said this.
「お立ちです」
A phrase that is used to send someone on a voyage (maybe something equivalent to Bon Voyage?)
However, it seemed that she really meant it, as the customer was apparently going on a trip.
Really stylish.
Ku- - -Kakkoii, ne. Lady boss. That's what I thought.
It is at moments like this, that I also think it's great that I am born a Japanese.
P.S. With Christmas round the corner, the pattiseries everywhere are using strawberries for their cakes, so the strawberries are scarce in supply, but I managed to eat some of these totally kawaii strawberries.
These too, they were sweet and delicious.
☆健☆ This has been very difficult piece, so I may not have gotten it right. Gomen.

| First: I've finally downloaded that giant 6 GB .ts file at jpopsuki, but I really need a smaller .avi, and for fuck's sake, give me 1280x720 resolution - my poor laptop choked on that huge HD resolution. DDDD: Found! :D OK, I'm just going to type up some stuff that happened up to now, then keep editing as I watch - otherwise, I won't remember anything, and I want to start spazzing with people now! 8D So far, I'd rate this one in between 2008 and 2007, leaning toward good. :Db ( Cut for spoilers~ ) | |

| Apparently, while everyone was busy preparing for countdown and watching countdown concerts with their friends and family, i was having my my worst day ever. I quarreled with my dad yesterday cuz he went mad and wanted to call my so called "uncle" who repair coms to come repair my antique BOX PC cuz he wanted to use it!! I got that pc when i was in P5? When i was 11, now i'm almost 20!! WHO THE HELL STILL WANNA USE A BOX PC THAT IS ABOUT 9YRS OLD AND IS RUNNING ON WINDOWS 2000!? I WAS TELLING HIM STOP REPAIRING AND BUY A NEW ONE!! He said that i don't know how to save money, SAVE MONEY AND LIVE WITH A BOX PC? NO WAY!!! Then he went really mad to ask that "uncle" of mine to come my house at night to fix that stupid pc -.- AND I'M SO NOT GOING TO STAY AT HOME AND WELCOME HIM AND SAY "THANK YOU" FOR FIXING MY DAMN HELL PC. GO TRY MAKE MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! So, i was extremely pissed and when to my friend's house till *thanks for taking me in!!* and left at 11+ cuz i don't really wanna interupt her New Year Countdown with her family, then i ended up roaming around my housing area till almost 12. And i decided that i shld at least spend my New Year at home, so i headed home and managed to reach home just before 12. When i opened my door, the whole flat was pitch black -.- Actually, my mum left home at 6+ to attend a funeral, and it seems that my dad went to fetch her home, so both my parents were not at home *and the stupid com is fixed* My mum was at the funeral wake till 12+ *WHO THE HELL WILL SPEND THEIR COUNTDOWN AT THE FUNERAL EXCEPT FOR MY MUM!?* So i ended up doing the countdown myself while watching Rain concert on ChannelU and watching Yamada Taro *who cares if he's poor, he got his family with him* on my laptop. I even sent out New Year greetings even though i was so pissed with New Year. sorry to all who received that super short and simple sms. I can't think of anything happy to say.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1. HAPPY 2010 TO MYSELF!! and i even said "Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu!" to the recent Myojo with Arashi-san on the cover.
The worst thing of all is when my parents came home at 12+ almost 1, i was waiting to say Happy New Year to my mum since i was only pissed with my dad. But the first thing my mum asked me is "Got help me record show?" WTH!!! IT'S NEW YEAR, 2010, A BRAND NEW YEAR!! AND A STUPID CHANNEL8 SHOW IS MORE IMPORTANT! THANKS A LOT!!
SO I WAS TOO PISSED TO SAY ANYTHING, I JUZ OFF THE TV, LIGHTS, LAPTOP AND WENT TO BED CRYING. STUPID NEW YEAR!

| It's the last/first day of the year and i thought i'd get the final poll sorted. Just to give you guys an idea of how things panned out in the previous votes ( The main vote. The other stuff.) here are the results in image form. (I WAS going to do a table but that was way too much coding and yeah. Who cares?) ( Here be results! )
(I would give a rundown of all the dramas with the votes from least to most but eh. Lazy.) OK. Wiith those results in mind, i've created the ultimate LJ Best of 2009 Jdrama Meme FINAL 20 poll to determine which one is the winner. Now some of you might say why not just use the results above? The reason is that people had to vote for 3 dramas PER SEASON, whereas this time round they will be voting for ONE DRAMA OVERALL.
And if there's a drama not on the list which was your personal favourite then i'm sorry but the majority of people on LJ didn't agree. But that's not to say that what you loved was bad. To each their own right? With this poll we can come up with what was the most POPULAR (not necessarily the BEST) jdrama for 2009.

( POLL )
Right. Done for another year. XD HAPPY NEW YEAR BTW!- Mood:exanimate

| Writing this while watching the Countdown; it is 2010 already in Japan.I think it has been a good year; 2009. Not all the way pleasant, of course. But a nice one, yes. I joined the fandom officially...? LOL. I have an LJ account before this, anne_megat but it is not active, and I used it to join communities so I can download stuffs. But I created this one so I can be in the fandom. I started subbing, too. I always start doing something new in my exam year, I suppose because I started writing fanfictions 3 years ago when I was supposed to prepare for an exam to determine my middle school. LOL. But I've made some nice friends;e.g. for the honour of being the first and regular to comment - Sherri. XD I tried a lot of new things, too. I like new people, Hasshi, Yuu, Kis-My-Ft2, Shouta - there are a lot, but Ryo is still the best. Now... See, I still suck in making any kind of graphics. LOL.I wished for a lot of things in 2009 and I got most of them. For 2010, I try wishing for fewer things - Kisumai's debut, JUMP's album, Yuu's new drama, Ryo's solo album, Hasshi's first acting work, Shouta's more exposure; that's for the fandom. I wish for some things, too, in RL but I'm not mentioning them here! XD For my wonderful F-list (or anyone who read this post; I never lock any of my post)... To have been meeting a lot of people, I am very happy. - Shouta Anne And here I have something - Tama-chan wishing you - "Happy New Year~" Hasshi wishing you - "Omedetou! Happy New Year~" SenKaido wishing you - "Akemashite omedetou~~" TotsuTsuka wishing you - "Happy New Year!!" YoSuke wishing you - "Akemashite omedetou! Happy New Year~ Everybody, yeah!"Taken from the first Shounen Club episode of 2009. ^^ あけましておめでとう~ みんなーさん、来年もよろしくね?^^
Happy new year~~ Everyone, next year, too; please take care of me, okay? ^^

| What has 2009 meant for you? If someone asked me that question, it would be a year of transitions, discovering new interests, and letting go of a bunch of ideas I've held on to before (I've sadly let go of some relationships too). I changed yet again. Whether it was for better or for worse, I'm not sure if I can be the judge of that. In 2009, I graduated from the life of a student and after a detour or two, I ended up in my current job. It's a good place to be professionally and despite the humongous amount of things I need to learn and the mistakes I continue to make along the way, I know I need to be here right now. In 2009, I gained new friends and had to say goodbye to others. I'm thankful for those I got to keep and for those I lost along the way. Both are part of my universe. Both mean everything to me. It doesn't matter whether they're here or not because they already left an indelible mark on my soul. In 2009, my family hit rough patches. I am grateful because it showed me the love one's family will always have for each other. My family stands to be my biggest support and inspiration. In 2009, I found out more things that made me happy. No matter how quirky, weird, or perhaps downright insane they were, these things provided me with a source of happiness. I was a fangirl in '09. I can't really deny that. I was also still a bookworm and bonafide foodie. I can't deny those parts of me either. What I hope for in 2010 is simple. I want to have hope in people around me, hope in what I do, hope in what I believe and in what I am. I never want to lose faith. I will carry that with me in the year 2010. I wish that you never lose faith either. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

| Dear friends we’re moving into a new year For all of you BIG and small ( Read more... ) | |
|
| It's about time. In less than 9 hours, 2009 will end and the year 2010 will start. 2009 has been a rough year, especially here in the Philippines, but definitely quite memorable. I would like to highlight some of the memorable 2009 events/happenings (not in chronological order or in any order): - Held the biggest and most attended YUI Lovers PH Meet-up last March. First meeting with spice_soda -- I just needed to mention this. :3
- Three close teammates/officemates resigns from office. :( But life and work still continues for me with the same company.
- Celebrated two years of blogging in LJ. Can't wait to turn three.
- Celebrated two years of YUI Stalking. I miss my fellow YUI-Lovers in PH.
- Celebrated first year in work. Expects to celebrate the second year on May. :)
- Celebrated first year of yuistalker. Still remains as the only LJ community dedicated solely for YUI.
- yuistalker expands with YUI News.
- Traveled into local places much this year -- went to Marinduque and Cebu!
- YUI returns back in the scene after her hiatus with again last June.
- yupeh went to the limelight after exposing a Filipino artist giving a song he initially claimed he composed to a couple for their wedding and eventually, retracted and said that he was asked to do a version of the song. Quite crazy but it was fun. I think I had lots of traffic back then. MY blog was even on TV! :3
- One of my Arashian friends (Niko aka Saigo) bids goodbye to us Filipino friends as he migrates to the United States.
- Too many deaths this year -- Michael Jackson, Cory Aquino, Francis M., my beloved Mami and my tito. They all passed away this year. :((
- Fandoms was high and low this year. Two new fandoms -- Kana Nishino and Namie Amuro. ♥ I was pretty low in fanboying with V6 but I am coming back this year. I miss those dorky guys. :3
- Got myself a credit card and had been using it for over 5 months already (I think). Though, I don't know if it has been helpful to me. XDDD
- YUI cuts her hair short for the first time (?) for "It's all too much/Never say die" Single release.
- Manila was extremely flooded due to typhoon Ondoy. I was supposed to go back to Manila by then and we got stuck in the airport for a day. Devastation indeed. But, me and my family were safe.
- Work has been high and low too. Since my other teammate left the office already, I had more responsibility more than ever now. I think it's for my betterment as well. I think of it as a challenge. And I'm ready to face more "office challenges" by 2010.
- Had my first ever girlfriend. I am too happy to explain in words. I'm so much in love. ♥ There you go. I hope I didn't miss anything. Maybe I'll edit this post once in a while today if I remember something important that I forgot to wrote in this blurb. Anyways, ADVANCE HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!2009 was really something and I hope that 2010 is as memorable too! ♥ Hopefully, 2010 still have love in the air. ♥ - Mood:accomplished

| Hi ^__^ Guess what boredom made me do... I subbed a very short portion of the latest TSD yesterday. I've posted it up on my youtube channel last night so many of you might've already seen it but I thought it would be nice to provide download links for the video. Since it's only a portion of the video and it's not related to HnA, I decided to post it here. ( EHHHHH Dare? XD ) | |
|
| Final Fantasy XIII was finally announced at E3 2006 and the fact that it had nearly the same team as Final Fantasy X working on it got my hopes sky high. Unfortunately after it was announced nothing much was shown except the occasional extra 2 seconds of video that occasionally appeared up on Youtube. Finally earlier this year the Japanese release date was announced for Christmas. I had to get it was soon as possible and after watching the trailer I became confident that the language barrier, which is more like a small speed bump now, wouldn't be a problem. I got the game a week before Christmas and spent almost every waking minute playing it. I can honestly say that it is (almost) exactly what I expected and wanted. I'll stay out of the plot since I don't want to spoil it for those still waiting for the English release, but it really does not disappoint. 30 hours in and I'm loving pretty much every character. What surprised me the most is my favorite character (the kid) is the one I thought I would hate. Luckily the writing is excellent and really makes you love and care about every one of its characters. The world the story takes place in is as vast as the one in Final Fantasy X. Except while the FFX story dealt with the religion, Yevon, FF13 deals with the conflict between the two worlds, Cocoon and Pulse. The story starts in the middle and slowly explains everything that happened and gradually progresses forward. ( More Impressions ) | |
